Premiers reading challenge

Premier's Reading Challenge 2019

CSPS participates each year in the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC). The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely.

The Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) is available for all NSW students in Kindergarten to Year 6.

2019 Key Dates:
March 4: Challenge opens. Students will be able to log books on their Student Reading Record, and coordinators will be able to create accounts for new students.
August 30: Closing date for student entries.
September 13: Final date for validation of Student Reading Records by coordinators.

IMPORTANT: If your child is new to the school this year and was previously enrolled in and completed the Challenge at a non-government NSW school, please contact our librarian PRC coordinator, Mrs Conrick, so that your child's previous reading records can be transferred and counted towards their yearly PRC completion tally.
