Meet our Teacher Librarian

OUR LITERATURE SPECIALIST - MELANIE CONRICK

  • Our Teacher Librarian is a qualified teacher who has also undertaken additional university studies in Teacher Librarianship.
  • Our Teacher Librarian creates quality and effective literacy and information lessons each week working collaboratively with teachers K-6 to help students learn, access and utilise information.
  • Our Teacher Librarian is an organised resource manager, information specialist and resource-based learning educator. Students are taught how to access and use information. They are provided with quality reading experiences whilst exploring enjoyable age-appropriate literature.

Reading for pleasure

A love of reading prepares your child for many of life’s chapters. Reading for Pleasure is a valued part of learning at CSPS.

Students who read for pleasure are more likely to:

  • read at or above the expected level of their age
  • make significantly more progress in other learning areas
  • develop a positive attitude towards learning.
Please help look after our books by returning them in a library bag.
