Dear families,

As you are aware we are transitioning into our ‘Learning from Home’ program as per government recommendations. To assist students who are at home over this period, teachers have prepared learning opportunities for students to access from home.

Mrs Thomas will be continuing to use Class Dojo to upload tasks and learning activities as well as communicate with 2/3T students and parents.

Miss Murray and Mr Jardine will be using Google Classroom to upload their tasks and learning activities for 3/4M and 3/4J students. Instructions on how to access Google classroom are attached.

3/4M will need this code to access their classroom: 7hc4kwi

3/4J will need this code to access their classroom: 6ebn3tl

If you are not already connected to these platforms, please do so by Friday.

Parents are welcome to communicate with teachers through the emails provided below.

We have worked together to create a consistent learning program for your child until the end of Term 1.

Class teachers will be giving feedback and providing support through these online platforms and students will have a chance to share their work and keep in touch with their classmates.

We would like to encourage students to use these platforms to discuss class work and responses to tasks, not as a general chat forum. Teachers will have the option to ‘mute’ students if they are not using the platform appropriately.

Our learning program will be uploaded weekly. If you do not have access to these platforms and would prefer paper copies, please ensure your child’s teacher is aware of this. Packs will be made available for pick up each Friday.

We understand this is a challenging and unknown time for us all and we appreciate your support, understanding and patience. We are here to help in any way we can. Here are some handy hints:

·         Establish a consistent routine where possible

·         Take regular breaks

·         Make time to exercise-Just Dance, Go Noodle are great for families

·         Keep to a regular sleep schedule

·         Limit distractions where possible (turn off social media, television, gaming etc)

·         Set daily and weekly goals

·         Make time to socialise even if it’s virtually

·         Use this time to connect with your families and don’t put too much pressure on each other

·         You can’t fire yourself from the job!

·         GOOD LUCK! J
